Spring 2025 | I Wish To Say book

The Spring 2025 Social Justice & Social Practice in Book Arts Core Seminar class created a collaborative artist's book based upon Sheryl Oring's Postcards to the Next President.

Dear Mr. President: I Wish to Say is a flutter book that mixes digital and handset letterpress printing. With a selection of the postcard dictated by the 5C community, the week after the 2024 election, Dear Mr. President features a simple, modified stab binding and a simple, paper wrapper cover.

Students share aspects of editioning the Dear Mr. President: I Wish to Say artist's book. They worked together and individually to typeset, proof, print, or stamp covers, fold pages, and sign the colophon. Enjoy their photo essays.
